What our customers say

"That was the sickest thing ever! I’ve been freeriding for 8 years now, but never experienced something like this. Nothing can’t compare to Alaska. ..."

Justin
(Valdez Heliskiing)

"...I’ve been ski-touring and freeriding on lift-accessible slopes for 5 years now but never got a chance to fly with the heli. Until now… First of all, Alaska is the most beautiful place on Earth. Secondly, the lines of Chugach Mountains are insane! And finally, the lodge is real cool..."

Max
(Point North Heli)

"Seaba has years of experience and they’re surely a local leader in what they do. I was very satisfied with heli service, guiding and accommodation. There was no delays, misunderstandings, etc. ..."

Darren
(Heliski Seaba Haines)

"7 days went by too quickly. We spent here a magical Alaskan powder week. We hope we get a chance to do it again."

Why you should Heliski in Alaska

01

Amazing Alaskan slopes

Alaska should be on every extreme skier or snowboarder’s bucket list. This land of extremes is incomparable and a place every skier or rider should experience at least once. After a taste of amazing Alaskan slopes and epic powder, you’ll never be able to settle for less than the best again. This remote land at the upper western corner of North America is truly an adventurer’s paradise.

Often called the “last frontier” Alaska is characterized by towering remote peaks with steep slopes creating the perfect playground for advanced and pro skiers. Massive mountains, abundant, light powder and not a soul to be seen – that is what Alaska is all about. The terrain of Alaska’s heli ski trips is as versatile as it is spacious. With everything from steep slopes, glacier skiing and cliff drops to wide-open chutes and bowls.

02

Reliable snowfall and stable snowpack in Alaska

Because of the extreme vertical, skiers and riders in Alaska, you’ll have a chance to enjoy some super long runs and – if you’re game – extremely steep slopes. Alaska has a stable snowpack due to its proximity to the ocean, with more than 20 meters of snowfall in an average year. This means plenty of the white stuff when you visit. Primetime skiing in Alaska is February through May when the snow has piled up and the skies are clear.

03

Alaska Heliski is suitable for most budgets and travellers

Alaskan terrain can be challenging, so most heli ski trips in Alaska are suited to intermediate, advanced and professional skiers and riders. Travellers interested in an epic skiing adventure will love Alaska’s rough and rugged terrain. Most Alaskan heli ski trips are in the medium-to-luxury price range and suited for families, couples, solo travellers and groups. Party people and ski bums will have a few great choices, and riders preferring steep runs and deep powder will have access to some of the best terrain in the world. There’s something for everyone in Alaska. Just ask us.
