With a freeride trip to Canada, you’ll be led by some of the best tour guides in the Great White North. Be Aware

Freeriding does come with some pitfalls. Well… falls, to be exact. Usually, catching an edge, misjudging a landing or sliding off a rail means just dusting yourself off and getting on with it. But sometimes the unfortunate happens and an injury ensues. If you’re unlucky enough to have an accident, make sure you’re properly insured. Get in touch with LUEX to find out our recommended insurance providers for your trip.

Five Reasons to Freeride in Canada

01

Experience Canada like the locals

A multi-day ski tour will give you the best of Canada. Your biggest issue will be deciding which region of the country to freeride. But once there, whether Selkirk or the Rockies, you’ll be skiing or riding like the locals. You’ll be in safe hands too as our selected operators are run by the area’s most knowledgeable guys and gals. The guides’ lay of the land is truly incredible, so your destination will be tailored to suit that day’s conditions. No more guessing where the secret spots are. A guided freeriding tour will give you the wisdom of a local.

02

Freeride like a pro

Knowledge is the key to backcountry. That’s what the pros will tell you. Knowing how to freeride is just as crucial as knowing where, so a part of your freeriding trip in Canada will be learning how to stay safe and aware in out-of-bounds terrain. Your backcountry guide will show you expert methods for choosing the right lines for your perfect run. Our chosen freeride operators have avalanche safety ingrained in them and will teach you how to maximise your awareness on the mountain so you can freeride like a pro.

03

No lifts, no boundaries

Canada’s groomed runs are a dream for most. But some adventurers need to be set free into boundless territory. Not praying for empty lift lines or dodging the crowds. Maybe resort skiing doesn’t excite you like it once did in your learning years, or maybe you wonder what exists passed the “out of bounds” sign. If so, it’s probably time for a freeride trip. Nothing says freedom like backcountry in Canada, with world-class location being a funnel for advanced and pro freeriders across the globe. If you’ve ever wanted to leave the queues and join the elite, then book a freeride trip to Canada.

04

Time for a road trip in Canada

Imagine 11 days of pure Canadian powder, shredding Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, Fernie (and more if you want). Paromcamps offer the freeriding tour bus of a lifetime and you can reserve your seat by booking with LUEX. You’ll meet like-minded freeriders and powder junkies on board one of the funnest trips in Canada, and be led by professional guides to show you each region’s best spots. If you like road trips, you’ll love this one through Canada’s best ski destinations.

05

Canadian friendlies

Ah, the Canucks out ‘ere are alright, eh! Yep, they don’t come much nicer than the Canadians. Many will come back to the great white north for the mountains, but most come back for the welcoming culture. There’s something to the warm hospitality of the locals out here. When there’s a Canadian around, your beer always seems full and your teeth always seem to be showing. You’ll feel right at home in the company of Canada’s loving locals, and it’s a great reason for a visit.
