A recent boat trip in the Maldives was pretty special. We cruised around the Central / Southern Atolls and surfed pumping waves - sometimes with no one out.

I'm the Founder and CEO and make sure everything runs the way it should across all departments. I'm also in charge to look after customers wanting to book luxury boat trips in the Maldives.

Fun Fact?

Not so much a fun fact and more my favorite thing to after a good surf/ski sesh is to wash it down with a cold beer and hang out with my family and friends.

Our Head of Travel is a true board rider. From starting out skating as a kid, he escaped the UK to the mountains of Canada as soon as he could. From there he spent many summers in the South West of France and tried to work out how to pursue his passions full time. Luckily he found LUEX and he’s chased waves and powder all over the world with us and continues to do so. Martin is your go-to guy for Snow Travel and Maldives Surf Trips.

Wave - Cokes or Kasabu in the Maldives, arguably the two best right handers in the Maldives and I’ve had some really memorable sessions at both!

Favorite ski resort?

Revelstoke… Just trees and powder! It’s the world's only temperate, inland rainforest which blesses that area with a crazy amount of snow!

Best Trip Ever?

Snow - Alaska! It’s the pinnacle of all Skiing/Snowboarding trips for a very good reason! When the conditions line up you’ll have the best days of your life here. Everyone HAS to try it!

Fun Fact?

Snapping my femur in half while alone in the mountains and getting it screwed on 25 degrees out of line by "highly skilled" doctors made me rethink what I was doing and pushed me into LUEX... So no hard feelings!

Our Gaucho in the crew! Ignacio aka Nacho studied Business Administration in Buenos Aires and knows his way around surf breaks all over Latin America, Indo, Fiji, Maldives, besides other destinations. Surfing isn't Nacho's only addiction though, and he usually runs around the LUEX office all pumped up on coffee too. He is the man you want to seek out for advice on good coffee and epic surf trips around the world.

Best Trip Ever?

Any boat trip in a tropical set up with good waves and good friends. Nothing beats trading waves and high 5s with your best mates all day and going over each day’s sessions at dinner, watching the photos and sharing stories.. Absolute freedom and memories for a lifetime!

Jo hails from the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she first dipped her toes into fashion & textile design. Shaking off the Southern Hemisphere's soil from her shoes, she moved to London, immersing herself in the arts of illustration & letterpress at Central Saint Martins. But, Jo is no one-trick pony. While meticulously crafting textile prints for Argentine and European brands, she jumped headfirst into the LUEX family as a chat agent first, before taking over our Bookthrough and catalog department, proving once and for all that multitasking isn't just a myth!

Favorite wave surfed?

Who needs a surfboard when you've got the entire ocean to explore? I'm a certified PADI Open Water Diver and, trust me, there's nothing quite like diving into the mesmerizing underwater world. You'll often find me chasing squids (no kidding!) in the beautiful Penjor Reef of Sanur. And if I'm not there, I'm probably exploring the ghostly charm of sunken ships in Tulamben, 18 meters beneath the sea. It's a whole different world down there!

Favorite ski resort?

I have to admit; as an Argentinian, my heart does a little tango when I think of skiing at home. The majestic Cerro Catedral in Bariloche gets my vote every time! Some may call it bias, I call it good taste.

Best trip ever

Hands down, it has to be Asia. With its riot of colors, smells, tastes, and experiences, it's hard to pick just one moment. But if I had to, it'd be the 3-day boat trip to Labuan Bajo. Imagine this: snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, lounging on pink beaches, and catching your breath at the incredible sights of the Komodo National Park. If that's not paradise, I don't know what is!

Here at LUEX, I wear a few hats. My main gig is to enhance our Bookthrough listing and ensure a smooth and efficient direct booking experience for our customers. And when I'm not doing that? I'm busy crafting detailed and captivating catalog product pages. It's all about making the journey as enjoyable as the destination for our clients.

Another Argentinian thriving on plants :)

Mister Jack of all trades! Tobias is involved in pretty much everything and literally (almost) never sleeps. He joined the LUEX crew in 2016 after some extensive traveling across five contents, surfing and skating his brains out. He loves his twin fins, photography, judo, and 1 or 2 or 10 ciggies a day too:).

I guess I’m a human fire extinguisher and try to help everyone across the team to focus on what they’re best at. Most of my time though, is devoted to further developing LUEX into a platform that makes it convenient for clients to find and book their dream trips all across the globe.

Max studied Mechanical Engineering in Mar del Plata and he has been in the water since a child, surfing and traveling to the most isolated destinations around the world! But surfing isn't Max's only hobby, he loves foiling and yoga. With several seasons in the Maldives under his belt, he is the perfect man to help to book the trip of a lifetime in the Maldives!

Dream Trip?... A tropical island far from the city and off the beaten track with double overhead waves, gentle offshore winds and up to 4 friends haha. Too much to ask…? Plenty of colorful tropical fruits as well.

Benoit grew up on the South West coast of France. After studying business management, he traveled the world surfing tropical locations, finally ending up in Indonesia for 3 years. BC, Canada and the heli operators around Terrace. White Wilderness and Northern Escapes. Easy to reach, wonderful and unlimited terrain. Something for every riding style. And super nice lodges!

Cloudbreak - and it’s not even close! It’s one of these magical places where everything comes together. A picture-perfect barrel in one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been. There’s not much else you can ask for as a surfer.

Favorite ski resort?

I probably have to say Big Bear Mountains in California. It’s not the biggest or most famous resort but I love how close it was from home at the time. I have great memories thinking about my time in Highschool when we used to surf in the mornings and ski / snowboard in the afternoons.

Best Trip Ever?

My first trip to the Maldives with the LUEX crew was pretty special, probably followed by a surfing road trip down Baja California.

I love Europe and the endless coastlines of France and Portugal. Big days I had on the North Shore of Fuerteventura like Majanicho and the Spots around Hossegor.

Favorite ski resort?

I will never forget epic powder days I had in Flims - Laax - Valera, Verbier, Valmorel and Les Arcs. As a Snowboarder I like the steeps around Valmorel.

Best Trip Ever?

Being snowed in for more than 3 weeks in the Swiss mountains in the Flims Laax area in the pre-season. Lifted up the mountains with Snow Cats and flying down on endless powder runs was a experience of a lifetime

Favorite Wave Surfed?

I have to admit that the ocean scares me a bit but on a board you just have this safe feeling. I made my windsurfing certificate in Egypt when I was 15 and tried getting on a board every single time while being on vacation. The only bad thing is that I’m more of a winter girl. So I can tell you a lot more about skiing ;)

Favorite ski resort?

I learned skiing when I was 3 and have been skiing ever since. My favorite country to ski is Austria because it gives you so much diversity. If I could, I would move closer to the mountains to enjoy skiing every day in winter.

Best Trip Ever?

Definitely my road trip through the West Coast of America and Hawaii. I’ve met great new people and tried new things I never thought I would do.

I love love love the mountains - but more in the summer for hiking.

Phew, there were some really great ones! Scenically definitely Namibia, the most beautiful beach is in Kenya, the most beautiful hikes in the Bregenz Forest in Austria and the most beautiful city is Lisbon.
